NRF is continuously working to implement an ecologically responsible mindset within the company. As the effects of climate change are becoming increasingly evident every day, we feel that we need to carry the responsibility to join the movement and contribute to a greener future.
NRF products are mainly made of metals, which are easy to recycle and have an extended lifespan. In addition, we have a specific line of remanufacturing, which plays a key role in the circular economy business. Through disassembly, cleaning, repair, and replacement of obsolete or damaged parts, the product can be returned as brand new and will be as reliable as the original.
While the automotive market is moving toward a 100% electric future, NRF is progressively penetrating this business too. Currently, we have more than 600 different references in our range for electric and hybrid vehicles, and our aim is to continue growing in this field.
In addition, our packaging minimizes the use of non-biodegradable plastics
ISO 14001 is an international standard related to environmental management systems. This standard involves requirements like the responsibility to carry out internal environmental audits, compliance with environmental goals, laws, and legislations, the obligation to implement training for all employees, and ecological waste and hazardous substances management. In 2022, NRF obtained this certification in our three production plants in Granada (Spain), Mill (The Netherlands), and Gdansk (Poland).
The NRF team has grown significantly over the last years; consequently, our offices had to adapt to that change. Together with the increase in capacity, we are also increasing the sustainability of our workplaces.
Our new location in Gdansk, built by Panattoni industrial developer, is constructed with the BREEAM excellent standard (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method), the world’s longest-established method of assessing, rating, and certifying the sustainability of buildings.
Our plan is to reduce our carbon footprint in the rest of our offices, too, by investing in the renewal of our installations to make them energetically efficient, limit paper consumption, and eliminate the use of disposable products.
