Design Engineer Railway

In this position you will:

plan, calculate, design, develop, test, and validate or modify mechanical concepts or systems
identify and select components, materials, parts and semi-products appropriate for mechanical system design
create mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechanical design concepts
calculate and create final layout including documentation and specification for parts, assemblies, or finished products
maintain technical product files
analyze existing development procedures and suggests improvements
implement or test design solutions
upgrade the design of existing concepts

We are also looking for

mechanical / Material Engineering background
proven experience in Railway sector, good knowledge of Regulations and metallic materials in Railway sector
experience in cooling parts and mechanical elements
used to work with Design Codes (ASME VIII Div 1 is a huge plus) & Regulatory Framework
good knowledge of Siemens NX (or any other design software: Catia, SolidWorks, SolidEdge) – experience on creating technical drawings (including geometrical tolerance & welding acc. to EN 15085)
experience in Finite Elements Analysis, Durability & Fatigue Life Calculations
good communication skills, attention to details
