Job description

As a Design Engineer Marine, you will be part of the Engineering team headquartered in Granada. You will report to the Design Engineering Manager based in Granada. The production of the Marine segment takes place in Mill, the Netherlands. You will work closely with your colleagues from abroad.

As Design Engineer Marine, you will:

  • plan, calculate, design, develop, test, and validate or modify mechanical concepts or systems
  • identify and select components, materials, parts and semi-products appropriate for mechanical & thermal system design
  • create mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechanical design concepts
  • maintain technical product files
  • analyze existing development procedures and suggests improvements
  • upgrade the design of existing concepts

What you will bring?

  • Chemical / Material or Naval Engineering background;
  • Related experience in the Naval sector, understanding of heat transfer
  • Used to work with the Rules & Guidelines from the different Classification
  • Knowledge /Experience with Siemens NX (or any other design software: Catia, SolidWorks, SolidEdge) is a plus
  • Good English level: B2-C1

Passion for cooling systems in marine sector and a sense for responsibility and ownership in a multinational team work environment. In order to be successful in this role you need to be open-minded and attracted by challenges.
