WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO AS AN AR ACCOUNTANT?

• Managing customer receivables, monitoring overdue balances and open items, and following up on outstanding payments.
• Managing collection activities, including preparing and sending payment reminders and supporting regular collection meetings.
• Maintaining customer master data and managing payment terms for assigned companies and customers.
• Preparing, processing and reconciling customer settlements and compensations, including marketing and intercompany settlements.
• Reconciling customer and vendor open items and resolving unmatched transactions.
• Performing bank and factoring reconciliations and clearing outstanding or unidentified items.
• Verifying customer tax documentation, including Certificates of Tax Residence, and coordinating the collection of missing documentation for WHT purposes.
• Supporting VAT and intra-Community supply documentation processes, including verification of CMR documentation.
• Managing operational factoring activities, including submitting factoring files to the bank and onboarding new customers to the factoring program.
• Supporting customer credit management, including credit limit updates and blocking customers with overdue balances when required.
• Supporting customer balance confirmation and invoicing processes.
• Cooperating with Accounts Payable on selected activities, including invoice and goods receipt matching, intercompany reconciliations and selected payments.
• Providing backup support for bank statement posting and other AR/AP activities to ensure continuity of Finance processes.
• Supporting month-end closing activities, reconciliations and financial audits within the assigned area.
  Participating in the implementation of new accounting tools and systems.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement, standardization and automation within Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash processes.

WHAT DO YOU BRING AS AN AR ACCOUNTANT?

• 2–5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Order-to-Cash or a similar accounting role.
• Practical experience in receivables management, customer account reconciliation and collection activities.
• Experience with customer settlements, open-item management and bank reconciliations.
• Good understanding of Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash processes.
• Basic to good understanding of VAT, WHT and accounting requirements relevant to AR processes.
• Experience with factoring processes would be highly appreciated.
• Experience working in an international environment or within a large international group.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned processes and follow up on issues until resolution.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to reconciliations and accounting documentation.
• Willingness to bring best practices, challenge existing solutions constructively and contribute to process improvements.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365.
• Good Excel skills.
• English at minimum B2 level.
• Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
